Then bad luck hits Reid and he takes a tumble. He gets back up but is never a threat to the front runners. Tim Lunde now has first with Tyer in second. Lunde begins to drop back to put Tyer into the lead and move Chuck Lunde into second. Mike Bell, CMC No. one, came from the middle of the pack to pass Turner and Chuck Lunde and is now in second. Tyer and Bell are having a good fight for first and Bell slips by.
Robert Hannah, on one of about 15 RM125's which Suzuki brought today, has worked his way up to third. Danny LaPorte passes Tim Lunde for fifth and then is by Chuck Lunde for fourth. Hannah takes a spill but is up before anyone is by. When it was all over, Bell had first, Tyer second, Hannah third, LaPorte fourth and Tim Lunde fifth. A very good race.
Dave Gerig had a clean sweep in the 500 Intermediate as he smoked everyone in both motos. Dave was mounted on a CRT. Dave Robinson was second with Rick Larson third.
In the 100 Junior race Corki Moore riding for Carlsbad Racing Team took home first place brass. Corki rides Suzuki. Danny Dilkey was second over Honda mounted Barry Knight, who was third.
If Mike Loper keeps up what he's been doing lately he'll be Intermediate in no time. Mike picked up another win in the 125 Junior Division two race today with a first and second placing over Yamaha mounted Bob Bourne who won the last moto. Third place went to Todd Peterson.
