It was just one of those nights for many people out at the Dunes. It was an odd night. There was a new RM-125 Suzuki being raced in the beginner class; there was a new '76 Maico 400 out. And both these bikes were total eye catchers. But besides that, nobody, I mean NOBODY really had any luck but Warren Reid. This up and coining 125 Expert put it all together. As far as the Expert classes, Warren was the only rider able to string together two wins to take all the cash. But he didn't have it easy. No way! In fact, from the start of moto two it looked like C.H. Industries' Ray Lopez would take home all the cash since he had a second in the first moto and Warren had a first.  Read More...

The Starters MC gave everybody a break last Sunday by having a race at a different track. Reactions to the track were varied. Many liked it, others didn't. The reason might have been because it was a tough track. Many tracks stay smooth all day and racers call it moto -cross. But up here, the track has many assorted bumps, jumps, and tight turns making a good motocross track. Their track really tested the ability of many riders, as the 20 minute motos tired the best of them. Even as far as it was, all the district racers came out to do battle on this black soiled track. Not to be repetitive, but the Women's division was again one of the best of the lay. Just before their first moto the track was watered. So before their moto, the girls were allowed one lap of practice.  Read More...
