Rubidoux found a winning situation here at Corona, Jan. 17, where they chalked up 133 total points, to record a school win in the Riverside County High School motocross competition.

Rubidoux's winning score was nearly twice that of Chino, who came in second with 69 points. Corona stacked up 59 points, and ten points bechind, Montclair came in fourth with 49, and La Sierra brought up the rear with 20 points, with only two riders competing.

Along with the school entrants, other non-high school riders competed for trophies, but did not claim any of the points towards the high school competition.

In the 100 Senior class, Dan Smith from Corona, posted firsts in each of the three motos to bring home the overall, followed by Honda-mounted Scott Sheedy, who was not representing any of the high schools racing that night. David Jones came in third, one of La Sierra's two riders.

Rubidoux was fairly sure of winning the 125 Senior class since they had the only three riders entered in the class. David Williams led the class in each moto and found his Honda really agreed with the first place position, claiming the win in that class, with Chris Robinson taking second and Robin Richey, third.

Rubidoux also had the win in the 175 Senior class coming it's way, since John Hosman was evidently having a good night. He took the overall, with Sam Davis, an Intermediate was racing Senior, in second, and Eric Dickinson in third.

Brian Rowe, from Corona, claimed the win in the 250 Intermediate class, with Rubidoux's Jeff Wise in second, and Dorm Boyd, Montclair, in third.
