You know there are alot of consistent racers in this club, guys who find their way onto the top of the results nearly every week. There are others in the Intermediate and Expert classes who are very consistent simply because they dig on the 240 minute motos. The big Inter-AMA stars often come to battle on Saturdays because of this and also because of the coming Trans-AMA here on December 1st.
Mark Abrahams was out at Saddleback last Saturday just messing around on a Collins and Son Penton, Corley photo.Today's Expert class was excellent and the real fast cat was Morris Malone who must be getting ready for that big race. Last year he stoked everyone with a big bucks support class win on a trick YZ and it looks like he's going to be challenging the competition on a Wheelsmith Maico this year. In the first moto Malone was in command and he had the day's win perfectly lined up then when the gate dropped in the second go and the pack passed by Malone was gone and must of split the scene due to a Maico breako. Another superstar was on the line-up as well and this was the fast guy in Kawasaki green who was Jim Cooke. So after Malone was out of it Cooke grabbed the lead and easily won the 250 Experts over new competitor in SAM racing who was Chuck Sherwood, David Hopkins on a Penton took third.
All of a sudden it seems like the guy that is really blowing off the 125 Junior class is Gregg Weston of Mission Viejo. Lately he had had some good dicing battles with the Saddleback Raceway's starter Jerry Stroner'sson, Ron. Today Ron didn't make it for some reason, he was racing but didn't even place in the top three so instead quick Rick Rasmusson and Lee Cangiana captured second and third.
